Topics covered include: (1)In house PSI testing, and the performance variations of different weight classifications; (2)Thermal mass, and how it relates to the energy performance of Concrete Masonry Walls, in all climate zones; (3)The changes in LEED v4, and how they relate to Concrete Masonry Wall Systems. One of the major changes in LEED v4 is a new focus on transparency. The course will discuss how Environmental Product Declarations can be used as a tool to make informed decision about CMU choices, and their environmental impacts.
